New Database: Constitutions of the United States

The Law Library has recently added the new database Constitutions of the United States: National and State to its subscription list. Like its companion services Constitutions of the Countries of the World and Constitutions of the Dependencies & Territories of the World, this database provides the text of current as well as historical constitutions. Access all three "Constitutions" databases from the Legal Databases and Links page.

LexisNexis Errors in Firefox

Recently, users of the Mozilla Firefox browser may have experienced login errors when attempting to access the Law School's subscription to LexisNexis ( http://lawschool.lexis.com ). These server errors occur only with the LexisNexis Law School site, and do not affect other non-academic entry points into LexisNexis (such as http://www.lexis.com/research ). LexisNexis technical staff are aware of the problem, and are working to resolve it. In the meantime, users of Mozilla Firefox are encouraged to access LexisNexis through Internet Explorer. (You may also access the non-Law School interfaces, such as http://www.lexis.com/research , in Firefox, although students will not receive Rewards Points or other school-specific information when using these interfaces.)

Visit the Law Library on Facebook

Facebook just got a little more D.U.L.L.! The Duke University Law Library is experimenting with a library page on Facebook for quick access to top library resources, hours, and contact information. You can even search the Libraries' catalog, access Duke University databases and e-journals, and chat live with a reference librarian over instant message-- all directly from your Facebook profile! Become a "Fan" of the page in order to receive updates in your News Feed about Law Library events and services, such as the upcoming "Research Refresher" series (to be announced later this spring). Or, just check out the available features and let us know what you think. Duke University Law Library [Facebook.com]
